WaterMotion
What is the WaterMotion
Program?
A water therapy class designed to increase range
of motion, flexibility, balance and strength. All Aquarobics
programming is designed under the guidance of a registered physical
therapist.

Why use water for therapy?
- Water provides support for your body, takes the weight off your
joints and allows them to move freely to achieve a full range
of motion.
- Water helps strengthen opposing muscle groups by providing resistance
for maximum muscular toning.

Who should take WaterMotion?
- Joint replacements:
The water absorbs the weight off the new joint and allows it to
move freely. There are no overly aggressive movements in WaterMotion,
only stretching and muscle conditioning.
- Fibromyalgia:
Studies clearly show that with consistent exercise, people with
Fibromyalgia will feel an improved sense of well-being, increased
endurance and decreased pain.
- Pre and post-surgery
- Back problems:
WaterMotion programming concentrates on muscle balance -- opposing
muscle groups on the front and back of the body. WaterMotion has
an extensive muscle-conditioning program just for the abdominal
wall, which in turn protects the back.
- Joint inflammation
- Arthritis or limited movement:
The effects of arthritis may range from slight discomfort to a
more serious disability. Regular exercise is a proven benefit
for those with arthritis. WaterMotion will reduce pain, stiffness
and increase the range of motion in the joint.
